Cyberbullying is one of the main issues in the UAE and the World. With the growing age of Social Media, children as young as six have been held victim to the evil cult of bullying online. In this day and age, children who leave a school playground only to go home, will find bullying online, on their electronic devices.  What makes cyberbullying different than physical bullying? People can mask themselves with pseudo accounts to bully others, making them “invisible” to the person on the other end to the screen. However anonymous these people think they are, the impact they have on the other person is extremely hurtful and endless. Statistics show that a third of UAE’s teenagers get bullied or harassed online. Meanwhile, a staggering eighty-six percent of them said they didn’t know who to go to for help and consolation. Unfortunately, people who have been subjected to cyberbullying are nearly two times more likely to attempt suicide. Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. BeHeardbyiscdxb emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2020, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.
